About Me

I'm a lover-not-a-fighter, dad & husband, amateur songwriter, runner, gardener, former Young Life leader, professional engineer (MI), and occasional adjunct lecturer doing chemical engineering/chemistry/projects for my full-time job.

This blog chronicles bits and pieces of my life from the end of my junior year in high school, through college and grad school, to the present.

I write about whatever strikes my fancy and firmly believe you should never be afraid of an idea that challenges a paradigm you hold.

My mantra, via Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn:
“Own only what you can always carry with you: know languages, know countries, know people. Let your memory be your travel bag.”
